American Standard Tool Revolver- During Civil War small cartridge revolvers like our GOTD were lightweight, popular pieces for personal protection. This engraved Am Standard Tool .22 revolver was a 7-shot gun made in Newark, NJ. About 40,000 were produced & this model followed very closely the lines of the Manhattan revolver, which was made in two runs from 1861-73. The nice scroll engraving & bone grips on this one are somewhat unusual embellishments. NRA National Firearms Museum in Fairfax…
